Please answer the following three essay questions so that we can get a better understanding of your interests, aspirations, and character. These short essays should reflect your own best thinking and not the work of an AI system or anyone other than you. For those who advance in the selection process, our interviewers will explore your written answers to these essays—as well as your academic record and overall resume—in more detail.

Essay #1:
Select three significant influences in your life—such as a defining experience, a teacher, or a great book—and write about how they prepare you to succeed as a Rosenthal-Levy Scholar. (limit 500 words)

Essay #2:
What do you seek to study at the Hamilton School, and how do you hope these four years of learning will prepare you for a life of civic leadership and purpose? (limit 400 words)

Who was the greatest leader of the 20th century—and why? (limit 150 words)
